About me

I am currently doing my 6th form studies at Plymouth Art College and my college hours are: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 0900 to 1630.
I have a real passion for food, people and product photography.
Highlights
I am currently working at the Ferry House Inn as a waitress and kitchen porter and I also have experience of working with Marks and Spencer’s lingerie department over the busy Christmas period. I excel at providing customer service in a busy and demanding environment both as part of a team and in using my own initiative.
Experience
February 2015 – current job – waitress/kitchen porter , Ferry House Inn.
November 2014 – February 2015 - Crew Member, McDonalds
With McDonalds, I was working in a fast paced customer focused and team orientated environment. I have experience of providing a positive customer experience, upselling, taking accurate food orders, cash handling, food and drink preparation and maintaining high hygiene standards. I strike the balance of delivering an efficient service with a positive customer experience to our diverse range of customers; and sometimes our customers were challenging.
I proved myself to be a quick learner, a great team player and 100% reliable, as I worked a range of shifts – some starting very early in the morning.
Reason for leaving – not knowing what hours/days I would be working each week.
December 2014 – January 2015- Customer Service Assistant – Marks & Spencer, lingerie department
Working in their busy lingerie department over the Christmas period, I delivered their renowned customer service experience. Whilst working there I had hourly tasks to fulfill which included cash handling on tills, stock management, working in the fitting rooms, exchanges and tidying display areas. I also dealt with customer enquiries, such as helping them choose the right product by listening and exploring their needs with them. I proved to be 100% reliable and worked a range of shifts over the busiest retail shopping period of the year.
Reason for leaving – Xmas job.
July 2010 – August 2013 - Papergirl at Hills News.
I proved to be reliable, delivering papers in all kinds of weather. I was often asked to do extra rounds to cover for holiday and sickness due to my reliability.
I stopped in 2013 so I could concentrate on my GCSE course work for my final year.
October 2013 – work experience at Plymouth University
I completed a week’s work experience with the University’s photography team and I loved this. I worked really well with the team and the manager trusted me to do a couple of photography assignments as I had shown real commitment and the ability to learn very quickly. The manager was so impressed with my attitude to work that he offered to do a reference for me for college and to be a referee for job applications.
